What is WebHockeyPool.com ?
WebHockeyPool.com is a NHL players stats feed service, which provides its users with an XML file (and URL link), mainly to help them automate their hockey pool website.
WebHockeyPool.com can provide you daily XML file by email (opt-in/opt-out option), or you can access that file by a unique URL (intended for use into a script), or even log into our website to generate it on demand.
WebHockeyPool.com offers different stats packages, from Free package, which contains minimal stats categories, to the Gold package, which contains about every stats category you may need, having 4 different packages to serve you better.
Each pacakge includes the Cumulative (Complete stats) and the Daily (Yesterday stats). The Cumulative package holds cumulative stats for each players up until last day. Which means stats adds up each day. The Daily package do not adds up. It provides only stats for the last day. Which means, Games Played category is always 1 or 0, depending if a player participate in a game or not that given day. Some exception may occrus, as if NHL.com adjusts the number of games played for a player because of an error.
When does the stats file is ready ?
In over 98% of the time, your stats file will be ready for 4 am ET. In some occasion, because of technical reason, or simply because NHL.com did not update the stats yet, we will not be able to provide the stats for 4 am. But in those rare cases, we guarantee the file will be ready for 12 pm ET at the latest.
In case the file would not be ready for 12 pm ET (which occured only once in 3 years or service), paying users will receive a credit for a free month for their next order, each time it occurs, if they ask us for it.
What about accuracy of the stats provided ?
The stats are taken from NHL.com, the only official NHL stats source, so our files matches NHL.com stats at the time we retrieve them from their website. Sometimes, there are small errors adjustments (on NHL.com), so those adjustements will be include in your next stats file.
How to order, what is payment method ?
To order a stat package, first determine the one you need from the Home page (after free and quick registration). Then, get to the Order page, and select the package you need, enter the needed information (see our privacy policy here), then submit the order.
Each order is processed manually (to ensure legitimacy of each order), so allow up to 24 hours before we confirmed your order, and contact you for payment. If you order the Free package, we will contact you only to let you know your account has been activated.
The only payment method is Paypal (paypal.com). Paypal is an easy, free and secure way to do your payment (we assume the transaction fees). You will have to pay all months (you pay for remaining months for the season/playoffs only) in one payment, before getting access to the stats file. Once your payment is received, we will activate your account.
Once again, each account is activated manually, so it may take up to 24 hours before your account gets activated.
